I am always looking for snacks. I have to eat so often that it is ridiculous. So as you may guess, I get sick of eating the same things for snacks everyday and am always on the lo
okout for something new. I found this recipe and tried it out. It is actually really healthy, which is a bonus, and tastes great! It is also a great on-the-go breakfast.Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. quick cooking oats
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. milk
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 large mashed banana
1/4 c. creamy peanut butter
Directions:
- Mix together the cooking oats, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Add in the vanilla extract, milk, and egg. Mix the ingredients together.
- Add in the mashed banana and peanut butter. Combine all of the ingredients.
- Pour the mixture into a lightly greased 8 X 8 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
