Amanda's Birthday

We have decided to write down big events in our lives because since it is our birthdays/anniversary month we were thinking about what we did last year. And try as we might, we could not remember what we did for Greg's birthday. We have thought and thought about it and we can only remember a few details, not even what we did that day. So here I am so that we don't have that again. :)

So for my birthday I got to sleep in and when I woke up Greg had decorated the kitchen with balloons, flowers and a giant Happy Birthday sign. It was awesome.

There were also lots of balloons off to the side. :)

Then we went down to Salt Lake to pick up my new blazer from the tailor and on the way home stopped by Sill's Cafe for brunch. Their scones are incredible and there is always so much food there is no way I could eat it all. Mmmmmmmm.

After brunch we got ready and headed back down to Salt Lake to the Leonardo to see the Mummies of the World exhibit. Greg had thought of it and it was actually very sweet because that was where we had our second first date except we saw the Body Worlds exhibit. :) I married a great guy.

Next we headed over to Temple Square to see all the flowers in bloom. Temple Square is always beautiful but it is incredible in the spring when all the tulips, poppies, and daffodils are in bloom. We walked around, took some pictures, and then headed home.

For birthdays we always get to pick our birthday dinner. I wanted udon. It is one of my favorite dinners ever. You can eat so much of it and not feel like dying after. It's great! So my incredible chef of a husband made it for me for dinner. He has become quite proficient at cooking Japanese food. It was delicious!

We then had cake and opened presents. Yes he made the cake; lemon with vanilla frosting and sprinkles, yes! And of course he spoiled me with presents but he was able to keep them all a secret. It is hard for him because he gets so excited and wants to tell me. :)

I almost forgot to make a wish after!

Needless to say it was a fantastic birthday and I couldn't have asked for anything better!
