Lagoon!

I can't even remember the last time I went to Lagoon. It was probably sometime in high school. Needless to say it has been a long time and I really was fine with that. However, my family came back for the summer from Thailand and my little brothers really wanted to go. Greg and I weren't planning on it. We woke up Saturday like any other Saturday. I was doing laundry and tiding up and my mom convinced us to take my brothers. She drives a hard bargain.

I was just going to take it easy and go on rides that I had been on before. I wasn't feeling very adventurous so I was glad Greg came and could go on all the "thrilling" rides with them. We went on the White/Brown roller coaster which is a classic but the bumpiest ride you will ever go on. After that Benjamin, who we have no pictures of because he left early, wanted to go say hi to a friend that worked there. So Greg, Christopher and I went on Terror Ride, because you have to at Lagoon. It was also cool inside which was a huge plus because it was extremely hot that day. Always fun!

I have to explain these next pictures. When Christopher was little little and he was nervous or afraid of something he would go into what we called "Stealth Mode." We discovered it on the Pirates of the Caribbean  ride at Disneyland when Christopher was 4 or 5 years old. He was really quiet and we looked over and he was slumped down in the seat completely asleep. He stayed asleep the entire time even during the little waterfall drop at the end. So basically if something was too much he would just go to sleep. It was hilarious. We thought it would be funny to recreate that since we had just gone on a "scary" ride.

Stealth mode even as a 13 year old ;)

This one's for you Dad!
After that Benjamin joined up with us and we went over to Colossus. Those loops made us all so dizzy! At the top of each roller coaster I regret every decision. And I voice that to whoever is around me. I can't help it. I regret everything at the top and love everything at the end. It's how I've always been and I'm sure will always be.

At that point it was unbelievably hot so we went to Rattlesnake Rapids. The line was ridiculous so we went to the Log Flume. Naive us thought it was a shorter line. False. But Greg had been sick and we were tired so we waited and the brothers went off together. All together we waited an hour and it was not even worth it. We barely got wet.

We met up and the boys were going on Wicked, when Dad called and was ready to pick up Benjamin. He was having a party with his friends so we were glad he was able to stay as long as he did.

At that point we were starving and I have never been thirstier in my life so we got some delicious Subway and the coldest water. That somewhat revived us but not enough so we went to the Ferris Wheel to take a break and go on it before lines got to long. And still we were not revived so Rattlesnake Rapids it was!

The line went really quick and Christopher, Greg, and I sat with two older awesome women and we had a blast! Of all the times that I have been on that ride, I have never ended up as soaked as I did this last time. It was ridiculous and felt incredible! So so much fun! I have lots of pictures.

The only dry spots left!

Greg was the driest.

Completely soaked and loving it!

Glad to spend time with my brother. Can't believe he is already taller than me!

They then convinced me to go on Bombora and the Bat with them which wasn't too difficult since they didn't look very frightening. They were surprisingly fun. I especially liked on the Bat that my feet hung down. That was fun! I did however feel bad for everyone that sat on the seat after me because I was still soaked from Rattlesnake Rapids and each seat was wet after I sat in it. Oops.

We hit up the Jet Star, which has always been one of my favorites at some point of the day, I can't really remember. Christopher wanted to go on the Rocket but ardently refused to go on Re-entry so we went on Blast-Off. I of course panicked and regretted at the beginning, which the people running things in the tower seemed to enjoy and loved it in the end. I will get Christopher to go on Re-entry at some point.

I was set for the day at that point and ready to go but Greg decided to win me some prizes at the games. He has never done that before and we decided to be super cheesy and go for it. I got a blow up soccer ball and bat. Pretty happy with that even though those games are a complete rip-off.

Then, I don't know how they did it, but Greg and Christopher got me on Wicked. I was completely set and happy with my decision to never go on that ride and then somehow that firm decision was reversed. Yeah. I wasn't happy about it the entire time in line and sitting waiting for our turn. It was also best that I went at nighttime because I couldn't see daylight at the end of the tunnel/beginning of the ride. We started and I saw track in front then we were off! And it was super fun! I really enjoyed it! It was much smoother than Colossus and the first part where you go straight up then down actually gives you less G's than the loops on Colossus. Very surprising. Anyways, I'm glad I went on it. I was feeling very proud of myself and accomplished after that. I'm not very daring with those things normally and I'm proud that I did it. So thank you Christopher and Greg, even though I greatly disliked you at the time. :)

Afterwards to chill we went on the carousel.  It was a bit delayed because a little girl behind us in line got her knee stuck in the fence. She was okay. I think what happened was she put it in and panicked which made it swell and really get stuck. She was completely okay though. I think she was more scared than anything else. But she was okay and we all got on the carousel.

It's always fun picking which animal to ride. Christopher chose the zebra. :)

We had way too much fun!

Christopher is so happy to ride a zebra finally! ;)

Stealth mode....

This is the man I married :)

I rode the Valentine horse :)

To finish the night off, we got the only thing that could make it any better: churros and blue cotton candy. A necessity whenever you go to Lagoon.

We had a great time together and I'm so glad that Greg and I were able to spend more time with Benjamin and Christopher before they headed home to Thailand. It was wonderful having them here this summer. Now we really miss them and can't wait to visit them in December!
